How to get rid of chest acne

As the sun dries the water out of the skin, it can very easily get dehydrated, which additionally will make the oil glands overgrow causing acne. And not only can appear acne on the face, but also in other parts of the body, including the chest. Chest acne can be caused by the same factors as face acne. They also tend to worsen in warmer months because of the higher temperatures, when the pores clog from the excessive sweat. Other factors that cause chest acne are using too thick of a sunscreen, friction from the clothing rubbing against the skin, increased bacteria on the body, hormonal disbalance, bad diet, and so on…

The problem with chest acne is that it takes so much longer to fix them than facial acne. This is why prevention is crucial. Showering post workout to get the bacteria off the skin's surface is a MUST! Also, exfoliating regularly with a physical exfoliator, or using an anti-bacterial, benzoyl peroxide, or salicylic acid wash will keep pores clear and the bacteria at bay. Next, the summer skincare products should be thinner than the creams we use in the winter days since our skin is already hydrated with natural oils due to higher temperatures. Then, the SPF should be lightweight and non-comedogenic.

Other supplements that can help get rid of chest acne are:

  • Oregano oil – applied topically on the affected area will kill the bacteria in the pimples, dry them up, and help them heal.
  • Retinols or antibacterial clindamycin gel — are also helpful when it comes to unclogging the pores.
  • Oil-free salicylic acid-based foundation or BB cream - will camouflage the trouble spots and treat them at the same time.

And the last, don't pick or try to scratch off chest acne as they are two areas on the body that heal more poorly and can scar easily.
